A chart-topping US rapper is set to perform to a sell-out crowd when he visits Kettering this weekend.
Fatman Scoop – famous for his many collaborations in the hip-hop world - will headline an event at The Loft Club in Dalkeith Place this Saturday (October 15).
The pay-on-the-door event is expected to be hugely popular, and organiser Rhys ‘Intense’ Alford says the event is a milestone for the town.
He said: “We aim to compete with cities in their ability to bring major names in the world of music to our venues.
“This is the first time a major US artist has come to perform in Kettering and we feel really honoured to be able to put this show on for the town.
“We truly believe we are cementing ourselves as Northamptonshire’s leading events hotspot.
“We’re extremely lucky to be able to put on such events in our small town and we are beyond grateful for the consistent support we receive from the community.
“Without the love and appreciation from the people supporting our events we would be unable to make events like this happen.”
Famous for his UK number one ‘Be Faithful’, the 36-year-old from New York has collaborated with the likes of Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Whitney Houston.
The event follows a recent sell-out event at the popular nightclub which saw artist J Hus perform to more than 400 people.
Previously grime icons Big Narstie, Stormzy and P Money have performed at the venue.
