Farm application for solar power

A FARM could soon be going green after submitting a planning application to attach more than 200 solar panels to its roof.

Drapers Corn Store, in Broughton Road, Pytchley, is looking for permission to extend its grain drying and storage building, and attach 210 solar panels on its roof.

The extension will mean the farm would be able to store 2,800 tonnes of grain and the solar panels will power corn drying fans.

The application was submitted to Kettering Council earlier this week.
