A family festival will be held at a stately country house next month to raise money for children’s charities.
Kelmarsh Hall will play host to the event, which runs from 2pm until 10pm on Saturday, August 4, and will offer many fun activities and shows for families to enjoy.
Highlights of the day are set to include vivid fireworks and laser shows alongside workshops for arts and crafts and party games.
The festival, sponsored by clothing retail store Next, hopes to raise money for Rainbows and LOROS who specialise in hospice care for adults and children.
Scott Lea of Rainbows said: “It’s shaping up to be a lovely event with lots going on for families.”
The 18th century house is located in Harborough Road, off junction 2 of the A14.
A Queen tribute band will be performing live, with Jersey Budd and X-Factor contestant Rachel Adedeji also making an appearance alongside many other bands.
A number of inflatable toys will be on offer for toddlers as well as obstacle courses and crazy golf.
There will be food and drink tents available all day to keep festival-goers going until the firework finale with a funfair offering many different attractions and activities for young children and adults to get involved in.
Tickets can be bought in advance at £10 for a family ticket or £4 per adult and £2 per child from either LOROS at 0116 231 8431 or Rainbows at 0800 952 1133.
There will be the opportunity to buy tickets on the day at a price of £7 per adult and £4 per child.
