Christmas is just around the corner and there’s plenty of fun to be had with the family.

The Christmas Experience

November 29 – December 24

West Lodge Rural Centre

Desborough

Experience the magic of Christmas at the farm with the Christmas Experience.

Children and families of all ages can enjoy taking part in the live nativity play, with children from the audience starring alongside the farmyard animals.

You can even take a walk through the Elves Village and make some magic reindeer food to take home and sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas Eve!

You’ll also have the chance to take a photo in the Christmas Photo Booth with Star the donkey (which is free).

But of course, the highlight of your trip will be a visit to Father Christmas who is waiting to receive your Christmas lists – and he’ll let you know if you are in the good or naughty boy and girl book!

To see Father Christmas it’s just £3.50 per child.

He’ll also give you a wrapped present to tide you over until the big day and everyone is welcome to take pictures of their own children with Father Christmas.

There’s no need to book for the Christmas Experience – just turn up and they will give you a time slot when you arrive.

However, if you want to be organised there are limited bookable slots available at weekends and school holidays at 10.30am.

Just give them a call for more information on how to book.

Normal entry prices apply for the Christmas Experience.

Weekends and school holidays it’s £5.45 per child, £6.45 per adult. Midweek is £4.20 child and £5.20 an adult.

However, it’s worth noting that the farm does get quite busy in the week due to visits from schools.

Dear Santa

December 5 - 20

The Core

Corby

From the author of one of the most well loved books for children, Dear Zoo, comes a special treat for Christmas, Dear Santa.

Ideal for children aged two to seven years old, what better way to get the little ones excited for the big day arriving!

It follows the story of Santa’s determination to get just the right present to a little girl called Sarah. But he needs the help of one of his elves to make sure he gets it right.

There promises to be plenty of music, laughs and audience participation as Rod Campbell’s simple and charming style is brought to life on the big stage.

As with many of the family shows at The Core, there will be free pre-show, themed activity sessions. These will be led by a visual artist who will be available in The Lab before every family performance.

Tickets cost from £10 (plus transaction fee) and the show runs for approximately 50 minutes (the perfect length for keeping the little ones’ attention).
