A store which closed its doors to the public earlier this year is reopening this weekend.
The Peacocks store in New Post Office Square, Corby, closed when the firm went into administration.
Edinburgh Woollen Mill has since bought the brand and following negotiations with Corby town centre owners Helical Bar it is reopening the Peacocks store tomorrow, Saturday, July 21, at midday.
Centre director Dan Pickard said: “We have been holding negotiations with Edinburgh Woollen Mill to get it reopened and earlier this week we completed the legal negotiations.
“They only picked up the keys on Wednesday and since then the staff have been hard at work gearing up for its reopening.
“This is brilliant news for Corby. Helical Bar has done a lot of work, and is continuing to do a lot of work, to make sure Corby has the best retail offer in the north of the county. Retailers are seeing that and that’s why they want to open here.”
