Couples planning their big day are getting help and ideas at a wedding fair.

Northamptonshire Telegraph’s wedding fair is proving a hit with brides-to-be and exhibitors at Kettering Conference Centre today (October 21). Everything you need to make your big day perfect is under one roof, from limo hire to photographers, from suit hire and wedding dresses to make-up and vintage tea service hire. There is also information about possible wedding venues, caterers, how to hire a disco and live music, and Bonnie Brides, of Corby Old Village, staged two fashion shows.

Mike and Zuzi are planning to get married soon and Mike said: “There is lots to see and it has given us some good ideas. We’ve made some useful contacts and it’s good having everything in one place.”

Photographer Andy Cresswell, of ASC Photography in Gretton, has exhibited at the show for more than 10 years. He said: “I always come and we always get a good response. There’s plenty of space and the fair attracts genuine clients.”

His stand included a photo booth that couples can hire for their wedding. Andy said: “It’s the latest craze, everyone wants one. You hire it for a fixed fee and get unlimited use. It comes with props such as funny wigs and people can take photos of themselves, which come out immediately, and leave the bride and groom video messages. They then keep all the messages and photos. If anyone wants to hire one they can call me on 01536 772175.”

The event closes at 3.30pm.
