An added overnight closure will take place on the A14 as part of the long-running widening scheme.

The Kettering bypass road’s westbound entry slip road at junction eight will be shut to motorists overnight between Friday, January 16, and Sunday, January 18.

It is so that the Highways Agency to carry out resurfacing works and install kerbs.

The road will reopen again at 8am on the Saturday morning, at 9am on the Sunday morning and at 6am on the Monday morning.

Drivers have been asked to follow the signed diversion routes and not to use their sat navs.

The westbound carriageway will also be closed for three nights from Friday.

Work began between junctions seven and nine on the road in January 2014 and is due to continue until the spring.
