Extra mowers will be out and about in Corby to tackle long grass.
Corby Council and Kier Street Services have put on the extra teams after prolonged wet weather and extra bank holidays hit the usual grass-cutting cycle.
The council expects all grass-cutting in the borough to be back on schedule by the beginning of next week, depending on the weather.
The council’s lead member for environment, Cllr Peter McEwan, said: “We have had several enquiries regarding grass cutting throughout the borough and would like to reassure residents that we are addressing these issues and have brought in extra resources in order to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
“The unpredictable weather has delayed our grass cutting schedule along with missed days due to bank holidays but we are confident we can have it back in line with the schedule by next week.”
