An event is being held at the Cube, Corby, on Wednesday, September 18, aimed at matching young people with jobs and training and educational opportunities.
The Your Future, Your Choice event is being staged by Connexions Northamptonshire and will run from 1pm until 4pm.
Young people from 16 to 19 who have left school or college and are unsure of their future or who are unemployed and looking for work, an apprenticeship or college course, are invited to attend.
Meena Mistry, of Connexions, said: “This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet training providers, local colleges and employers all in one place who have opportunities available to start now.
“Connexions advisers will also be available to talk to young people about their career ideas and provide advice about their next steps. We are encouraging young people, parents or carers to come along to the Corby event.”
Exhibitors at the Cube will include Tresham Youth Training, Starting Off, Options 2, the Princes Trust, Northampton College, Moulton College, Key Training, Construction Skills, Canto, the Army, Apprenticeship Supermarket, Norbert Dentressangle and the Royal Air Force.
The event is being staged with the help of funding from Northamptonshire County Council.
Connexions Northamptonshire is a not-for-profit organisation commissioned by the county council to provide a service to a priority group of vulnerable young people aged 13 to 19.
