Youngsters can enjoy a ride in a cart pulled by Siberian huskies at Fineshade Wood, near Corby.
The Forestry Commission is holding a Christmas fair on Sunday (December 2) and the huskies will be the star attraction.
Ranger Cheryl Joyce said: “The dogs proved a real hit at last year’s event. It’s a gentle ride but a great way for youngsters to get a taste of huskies running even if it is at walking pace. The dogs thrive in cold weather so a crisp winter’s day is perfect.
“The event is a great way to get the Yuletide celebrations underway. There will be plenty of gift ideas and visitors can also buy a Discovery Pass giving free access to the forest all year round together with other perks and discounts.”
The fair will also feature carol singers and locally made cards, wreaths and chocolates and freshly cut Christmas trees will also be on sale.
It will run from 10am to 4pm and takes place at the Top Lodge visitor centre. Fineshade Wood, which is signposted from the A43.
