Pupils at a Corby school had a lesson in teamwork and determination from former rugby union player Austin Healey.
He visited Lodge Park Academy in Shetland Way and coached players from every year group.
Austin played for Leicester Tigers and has represented the England national rugby union team and the British and Irish Lions.
He said: “There’s a disconnect between what many young people think about being a successful sportsperson and the reality of the job.
“The reality is that to be successful involves a huge amount of sacrifice and a lot of knowledge and hard work.
“I enjoyed meeting the pupils at Lodge Park Academy.
“They worked really hard and the training sessions were quite physical.”
