This year’s annual UCAS sponsored Higher Education Convention will be held at Moulton College.

It has been organised by Connexions Northamptonshire to give year 12 students the opportunity to explore their higher education options.

There will be 140 stands representing a wide range of universities and other organisations, making it the largest such event ever held in the county.

In addition, there will be talks on student finance, personal statements and employability.

Jane Shearer, event organiser at Connexions Northamptonshire, said: “We are expecting around 4,500 year 12 students from across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties.

“The event offers students a great opportunity to investigate the range of possible courses and institutions by speaking to people who actually work there. It is important that students make well researched, informed choices, and the conference is an excellent opportunity to form part of this process.”

The conference is part of a series of UCAS Higher Education Conventions and has been organised by Connexions Northamptonshire with support from Mouton College and HELOA (the Higher Education Liaisons Officers Association). It will be held on Tuesday, July 2, and Wednesday, July 3, from 9am to 3pm, at Moulton College’s Pitsford site.

Schools from Northamptonshire and surrounding counties have booked places for their pupils. To book a place go to www.ucas.com/conventions
