Teenagers in Corby are being offered the chance to discover their potential with a new free training course at Tresham College.
Tresham Youth Training is a course for 16 to 18-year-olds who are not in employment, education or training but who want to improve their skills in order to find work.
Samantha Stojanovic, from the college, said: “Students can choose to attend classes either in the mornings or afternoons and the course runs for approximately 28 weeks, after which they can achieve a diploma in progression to employability.”
“The course has the flexibility for young people to study at their own pace, with learners able to bank credits for units taken and continue with the course at their convenience.”
Offered in individual units covering skills such as interview techniques, maths, English, CV-writing and budgeting, students can choose to study for a level one qualification, certificate or diploma.
Also available at the Kettering and Wellingborough campuses, the course is fully-funded and taster sessions are running from now until July 25.
