Pupils at St Mary’s Primary School in Burton Latimer planted hundreds of trees to commemorate the creation of three primary school academies.

St Mary’s in Burton Latimer, St Mary’s in Kettering and Freeman’s Endowed School in Wellingborough all became academies on April 1 and are linked because all three are church schools. St Mary’s Burton Latimer headteacher Tony Collins said the trees had been donated by the Woodland Trust.
