Bishop Stopford School in Kettering has gained a coveted ‘Gold Investors in People Award’ after demonstrating exceptional levels of people management and staff development.
The IIP Gold Award is achieved by only one per cent of accredited organisations UK-wide, and follows an ongoing process of developing employees.
Bishop Stopford Head Teacher, Margaret Holman, said: “We are delighted to receive this nationally-recognised award.
“We have a superb team, and the rigorous Investors in People standard has enabled us to develop a best practice plan and build upon our successes in staff development.”
IIP Assessor Robert Haywood, added: “Bishop Stopford supports learning in the wider community, acts as a responsible employer and supports a wide range of charity work.
“There is a strong culture of professional learning, and the Head Teacher has the support of enthusiastic governors, a leadership team and staff body who share her ambition for continual improvements.”
