Southfield School is celebrating another successful year of results.
Assistant head teacher Janet Goodliffe said 88 per cent of students achieved at least one A* to C grade, and the majority of students secured places at their first-choice university.
She added: “We are delighted with this year’s results which show a marked increase in attainment this year.
“The results reflect all the very hard work our students and staff have done and this is demonstrated by the number of students who have been offered a place at their first choice university.”
Among those celebrating were Emily Hawksby, Sophie Mullett, Vivien Do, Amy Mullett and Amber Hockridge (pictured above).
Emily is going to an acting school in London, Amber is moving to Birmingham to study drama, Sophie and Amy are going to Nottingham Trent, Sophie to do sport education with psychology and Amy sports science and management while Viv is going to Birmingham to study medicine.
