A family from Rothwell have taken to the stage at a consumer show to talk about their experiences in an eco-home in the town.
Andrew and Shona Carse, who live in the Horse Fair Lane house with their two young children, spoke at Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham, earlier this month.
They were one of two families to be taking part in Velux’s CarbonLight Homes experiment.
Andrew said: “It went really well, it was a good day out. It seemed to be well-received by the crowd.
“It’s very light and airy. It’s helped improve our mood. It coped well with the heatwave. It’s now how it’s going to cope with the drop in temperatures. We have noticed, recently, it hasn’t felt cold at all.”
