Drivers warned over foggy conditions

Forecasters have warned this morning’s foggy conditions across the county could linger all day (Thursday, November 15).

As voters head to the polls for the Northamptonshire police and crime commissioner election and the Corby parliamentary by-election, temperatures are unlikely to rise above 6C all day.

Last night, the Met Office issued a yellow fog warning for the East Midlands. It warned people “of the risk of poor driving conditions due to significantly reduced visibility”.

An overnight low of about 1C is predicted for Thursday night, but temperatures are set to rise – and the mist and fog clear – by Friday.

Showers are predicted for Saturday in the north of the county.
