Driver taken to hospital after Wellingborough crash

A driver was taken to hospital after their car came off the road in Wellingborough last night (Monday).

Police were called to Niort Way, between Park Farm Industrial Estate and Redhill Grange, after the single vehicle collision shortly before 9pm.

The driver was taken to hospital but the injuries are not believed to be serious.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: “We were called at about 8.55pm to an incident where a car came off the road.

“The road was closed until 1am as the car was quite badly damaged.

“Our investigation into the incident is ongoing and we would urge any witnesses to contact the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615.”
