A 75-year-old man’s car was kicked in a road-rage incident in Rushden.

The pensioner was driving a blue Fiat Marea in Bedford Road between 5pm and 6pm on Thursday, January 9, when the driver of a 4x4 behind him started flashing his headlights.

The Fiat driver then drove into Barrington Road where the 4x4 overtook him and hit the front of his car, damaging it.

The victim then turned back into Bedford Road and Maye Dicks Road and the driver of the 4x4 again followed him.

The pensioner stopped his car and the driver of the 4x4 got out of his vehicle and kicked the Fiat, denting a rear wing.

The victim then drove off and did not see the 4x4 again.

The offender was black, aged 30 to 40, about 5ft 6in and of medium build.

He was wearing a dark jacket and white shirt.
