A TEENAGER from Wellingborough has thanked people for donating towards his dream trip to Australia.
Corey Haseley, 16, suffers from a very rare life-limiting illness which eats away at his nerves, muscles and cells.
Doctors have told the Wellingborough youngster that he has just two to three years left to live, and he is desperate to raise £8,000 so he can visit his dream holiday destination of Perth while he is still well enough to travel.
Almost £4,000 has either been donated or pledged towards the appeal after Corey’s story appeared in the Evening Telegraph recently.
Corey is a keen fundraiser, and he has previously raised money for charities, but a recent long spell in hospital stalled his fundraising activities.
He said: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me so far and I am continuing to appeal for donations.”
Any individuals or businesses who would like to donate to Corey’s appeal can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
