A Kettering charity is asking people to help it raise funds.
Solve It, which provides support and advice about the use of so-called legal highs, is asking people to donate £5 through the website Localgiving’s #GiveMe5 scheme, which will match fund 1,000 £5 donations made through the website on Wednesday, February 25.
#GiveMe5 aims to inspire support for community-focused charities such as Solve It and 1,000 donations will be randomly selected to benefit from an additional £5 of match funding.
Solve It is using the #GiveMe5 campaign to kick-start its fundraising this year, with the aim of supporting its programme of education in local schools and youth groups.
Chairman Kevin Shapland said: “We’re incredibly excited to be part of #GiveMe5 and hope that the local community will show their generosity and support. Just one matched £5 donation would give an additional £10 of funding, which would allow us to continue to raise awareness of the issues surrounding so-called legal highs.”
