A CHARITY which supports disabled people has revealed how much money it raised last year.
The Northamptonshire branch of Dogs for the Disabled organised activities throughout 2011 and raised £3,647.52.
The charity creates partnerships between people living with disabilities and specially trained dogs, helping give them freedom and independence.
Charity community fundraising manager Stephanie Lawless said: “We would like to thank all members of the Northants Support Group, not only for raising such a wonderful amount of money but also for constantly raising awareness of Dogs for the Disabled within the local area.”
Dogs for the Disabled supports 260 partnerships in the UK, with each costing £18,000 throughout its lifetime.
