A dog walker was hit in the face while chasing after her pet.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the violent assault in Bath Road, Kettering, which happened between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 28.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman, was walking her dog along Bath Road.

The dog ran into the park and, as she went to catch the dog, she was approached from behind and hit in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

A police spokesman said: “We would particularly like to speak to another dog walker who was seen entering the park about the same time and may have witnessed the assault.”

The attacker wore a khaki green jacket.
