Local artists have collaborated for a new exhibition, A Blending of Worlds, currently running in the Alfred East Art Gallery in Kettering.

Stella Benford and Kelly Gardner want to capture the imagination of visitors in their joint exhibition, encompassing memory, myths and legends, and transporting visitors away from reality and into a fantasy world.

The exhibition includes work ranging from collage and oil painting to metal work and 3D installations.

All artwork is for sale, and Valerie Hitchman, head of community services at Kettering council, said: “The exhibition provides a valuable opportunity for artists to sell and for visitors to buy unique and high quality art work.”

Kettering Museum and Art Gallery have been short-listed for Peoples Choice Award, and were the 2012 winner of the Best Exhibition Award for the Hidden Treasures exhibition.

Hundreds have already visited A Blending of Worlds exhibition, which runs until Saturday, July 13.
