Distraction burglars prey on elderly victim in Kettering

Thieves conned their way into a man’s house and stole his wallet during a distraction burglary in Kettering.

The incident took place at a property in Bonham Court, Kettering, at about 6.15pm on Sunday, August 19.

An elderly man was in his property when a man and woman outside engaged him in conversation through an open window.

The woman asked to use the toilet and the victim allowed her into his property.

When he returned to the living room, he discovered his wallet was missing.

The woman was white, about 25-years-old, 5ft 5in, of small build, with mousey brown collar-length hair.

She wore a two-tone brown and light brown jumpsuit with a boob tube-style top.

The man was white, about 25-years-old, 5ft 7in, of slim build, clean shaven and with short dark brown hair.

He wore a blue tracksuit top and possibly grey tracksuit bottoms.
