Detectives investigating the murder of a Corby nightclub boss say they are investigating a number of new leads following a re-appeal for information shortly before Christmas.

David Ross, better known to friends as Les, was found dead at the Village Express Hotel in December 2012 after being killed by a blow to the head.

Detectives issued a fresh appeal for information last month, two years after the murder, revealing new information about a man with gingery-brown hair who was seen at the entrance of the hotel about an hour before the murder.

Det Chief Insp Martin Kinchin said: “In the past few weeks, we have received a number of interesting calls which have provided new information which we are now actively following up.

“We know there are still a number of people out there who hold vital information about Mr Ross’s murder and it is pleasing that some of them are now coming forward.

“We would now urge anyone else who knows anything about this tragic event to come forward, even if it is anonymously through the Crimestoppers line.”

Anyone with any information about the murder of David ‘Les’ Ross, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
