Drivers faced delays after a lorry and two cars were involved in a collision on the A43 near Weldon.

The A43 Stamford was closed by police after the crash near to the golf course at about 9.20am today (Tuesday).

It involved a lorry carrying a full load of asphalt, a black Mercedes and a silver Alfa Romeo.

A police spokesman said one driver had been taken to Peterborough City Hospital following the crash.

The police spokesman added: “We took the road block off the A43 at 11.48am.

“But work is still ongoing to clean up the oil spill.”
