Housebuilder Barratt Homes has secured land to build 95 properties at Priors Hall Park, Corby.
The company will start building The Woodlands development in August 2013 and the first homes will become available later in the year.
Ben Thorington, senior land manager at Barratt Northampton, said: “We’re delighted to have secured land at Priors Hall. It’s an innovative development and home to a brand new community which is growing all the time. It’s particularly exciting as it will feature a range of its own on-site amenities.”
As part of the associated section 106 agreements, the developers will contribute millions of pounds to provide a primary school, a combined art gallery and heritage centre, a large amphitheatre, which will be a centrepiece, as well as a local shopping precinct and play parks.
Mr Thorington said: “We’re really looking forward to providing our five-star new homes and becoming a valued part of the wider development.
“We will be providing something for everyone from two bedroom coach houses to elegant four bedroom detached homes.”
Once completed Priors Hall will include in the region of 5,300 properties.
