A Wellingborough day centre which was under the threat of closure after its funding was withdrawn has re-started its full service.
The Wellingborough Afro-Caribbean Association (Waca) cut the opening hours of its day centre from three days a week to one after its county council funding was withdrawn, but has now resumed its three days a week service.
The centre, in Rock Street, has been helping the elderly for 30 years and is opening its day centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with the same team of volunteers.
Everyone is welcome to join in the activities.
