A 24-hour darts marathon has raised more than £1,000 for the battle against Prostate Cancer.

The event took place in May at the Desborough Conservative Club. Among those taking part were PDC players Ricky Evans, from Kettering, and Rushden’s James Richardson.

Organiser Justin Lovegrove said: “It went really well but it was tiring. We have raised more than £1,000 with more to come in as well. I would be happy with £1,500.”

He has also thanked everyone who helped support the evening, including Cons Club landlord Mick Coe, committee chairman Paul Jackson, bar staff, Desborough Fish Bar and Damian Cox from Big Bopper Entertainment.
