Dozens of people danced their way to fitness and helped raise money for a good cause at The Centre in Mawsley on Saturday.

The event was organised by booiaka instructor Louise Slaven to help raise money for the Philippines Disaster Relief Fund.

Speaking after the event, Louise said: “From the bottom of my heart I just want to thank everyone for attending and supporting my Boo4charity event.

“It really was amazing – great music, moves, sweat, laughs and love.

“But most importantly we raised over £1,000.”

The event also featured a raffle and booiaka-branded goods were sold to help boost the final total.

Booiaka is a type of fitness dance. Louise runs several classes every week in Corby, Kettering and Mawsley.
