A new dance routine is to be performed at Corby swimming pool.
SwimMorphosis on Saturday, September 22, has been commissioned by Dance 4, Corby Council and The Core theatre at The Cube.
It has been created by Northamptonshire-based choreographer Mickael Marso Riviére, who runs the Moves dance classes at The Core and leads the Corby Young Dancers programme.
He also choreographed a performance for the Queen on her recent visit to the town.
In SwimMorphosis he brings together professional performers, pool users and members of Corby Young Dancers to create a multi-media dance experience.
The performance is the centrepiece of Festival of Dance which features performances at the pool during the evening by local schools, community groups and local artists and is part of Big Dance 2012, a regional programme from dance development agency, Dance4 and the Big Dance East Midlands Hub Partnership.
SwimMorphosis starts at 7pm and the main performance in the pool starts at 8pm. Tickets are £3 and can be booked at The Core’s ticket office on 01536 470470 or online at www.thecorecorby.com.
