A 21-year-old man has died after a road accident in Cottingham Road, Corby.

He was riding a light-coloured Koona mountain bike when he was in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra at the junction with Elizabeth Street at about 9.10pm on Tuesday (July 29).

The man was taken to Kettering General Hospital with serious injuries but died a short time later.

A 49-year-old man who was driving the Astra was not injured but was left shaken by the accident.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.
