Cultural diversity set to be celebrated at free fun day

Corby is to celebrate its cultural diversity with a day of fun activities and demonstrations.

From 10am until 3pm on Saturday, July 26, there will be displays and events outside the Cube and swimming pool.

The event has been organised by the borough council.

Sports clubs will be attending, representing netball, football, hockey, rugby, tennis and boxing.

There will also be demonstrations of Highland, Serbian and Irish dancing, as well as taster sessions for visitors to sample Polish and Indian food.

Corby Council leader Cllr Tom Beattie said: “This event is the perfect way for people to celebrate Corby’s diverse community.”
