The Queen has been to Corby – and it looks like she enjoyed herself!
Her Majesty received a very warm welcome in Corby this afternoon when she came to the town as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour.
The crowds cheered and waved flags as she visited Corby swimming pool and the Core theatre.
Linda Jones was among the thousands who turned out.
The 42-year-old from Thorpe Malsor said: “We got here about 2pm.
“It has been a very long time since she was last here – some of the people here would not have been here for that.
“It’s a great thing and I hope she has enjoyed herself.”
Emma Stigter, seven, presented some pink roses to the Queen.
She said: “She came over and I gave her some flowers.
“She said thank you and I said you’re welcome.”
