Crowds flock to Rockingham Castle’s game and country fair

There was everything from ferret racing to gun dogs to entertain the crowds at Rockingham Castle’s game and country show on Saturday and Sunday (July 13/14).

Visitors enjoyed the glorious sunshine and soaked up the atmosphere at the event which celebrated country life.

Attractions included a miniature pony parade, a demonstration by working dogs, a goat show, terrier and ferret racing, birds of prey, Horkesley Park Heavy Horse Display and practical horsemanship by Grant Bazin.

Youngsters had the chance to bottle feed lambs and kids and enjoyed a Punch and Judy show.

In addition, there were arts and crafts and gift stalls, as well as food marquees.

A companion dog show on Sunday raised funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
