Two Kettering men jailed for attack on taxi driver

Two men have been sentenced to a total of 33 months after an unprovoked attack on a taxi driver.

Paul Kerti, 48, from Kettering was sentenced to 21 months in custody for racially aggravated common assault.

Luke Kerti, 19, from Kettering was sentenced to 12 months in custody for common assault.

Both men had taken a taxi in Kettering on January 20, 2012. They began an argument with the taxi driver on the route being taken and then racially abused him before physically assaulting him.

Both men plead guilty to the offences and were sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on Friday January 11.
