Two men have been arrested after three dogs under their control attacked a 69-year-old woman and her dog in Northamptonshire.

The attack happened in Baden Powell Crescent, Towcester, at about 6pm on Saturday, May 23.

The three dogs, believed to be Staffordshire bull terrie-type breeds, attacked the woman’s bichon frise dog.

As she tried to intervene and separate the dogs, she sustained minor injuries to her chin and hand.

She received medical treatment at the scene, but was not taken to hospital.

The three dogs belonging to the men have been seized by police.

The two men, aged 34 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of ABH and owning a dangerously out of control dog and are currently in custody.
