Three men who burgled bookmakers in Northampton jailed for combined total of more than 10 years

Three men who stole a safe containing £4,600 after they cut a hole in the wall of a Northampton bookmakers have been jailed.

Daniel Marsden, aged 31, Karl Tulloch, aged 30, and Mark Grimbley, aged 29, carried out a burglary at Betfred bookmakers in St Leonards Road, Far Cotton, on the night of Friday, April 17, 2015.

Birmingham Crown Court heard the men gained entry to the bookmakers by cutting a hole in a breeze block wall.

Marsden was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for burglary. Tulloch was given a 38 month sentence and a further 10 months for other offences, giving him a total prison sentence of 48 months.

Grimbley was handed a 30 month custodial sentence for the burglary.

A fourth man, 30-year-old Colin Mosdell, is due to be sentenced shortly in connection with the incident.
