Teenage boy robbed in Corby woods

A 17-year-old boy was robbed as he walked through woods from Corby boating lake to the town’s swimming pool.

The attack happened on Wednesday, March 6, at about 4.10pm when the teenager was approached by a man who asked him for a cigarette.

The victim said he didn’t smoke and the man grabbed hold of him, took his wallet and ran off into the woods.

The man was white, in his early 20s, about 5ft tall, with short brown hair.

He was wearing a navy blue tracksuit top, with white stripes down the arms, and blue tracksuit bottoms.

Witnesses are asked to call the police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
