A good samaritan who tried to break up a fight at a Northamptonshire nightspot was attacked with a high-heeled shoe and left with head injuries.

The 22-year-old was at NB’s in Bridge Street on Sunday, May 17, when she tried to separate a number of people who were involved in a fight in the bar sometime between 2.50am and 3.15am.

A Northamptonshire police spokesperson said that as the woman tried to stop the fight, she was hit in the head with a shoe, knocked unconscious and left with a large cut on her head which needed treatment at Northampton General Hospital.

Officers investigating the case would like to speak to anyone who was in NB’s in the early hours of the morning and saw the incident.
