Village burglaries in the north-east of the county are to be targeted by the local safer community team.

A police spokesman said: “The priorities for the East Northants North SCT were decided at a meeting yesterday and it has been agreed to prioritise the concerns about rural area burglary until the end of April.

“The other agreed priority is to tackle speeding on Benefield Road in Oundle and Main Street in Upper Benefield.”

A police surgery will be held at the Co-Op store in Oundle on Saturday (February 2), between 5pm and 5.30pm, and officers will also be on their rounds in King’s Cliffe on Sunday, between 2pm and 4pm.
