Police are investigating a ‘suspicious incident’ after two young girls were led into a wooded area by a man in Finedon.

A seven and eight-year-old girl were playing in a park near to Finedon Cricket Club on Sunday afternoon when a man in his 50s approached them and asked if they would help him look for his dog.

The girls agreed to help him and followed him into a wooded area near to the cricket club. He walked with them for about 10 minutes before he disappeared.

The girls did not see him again and left the wooded area.
