Police commissioner Adam Simmonds has held the latest in his series of street surgeries.
He spent two hours outside the Cube in Corby this morning (Saturday, May 18) to meet residents.
“This is the second of the street surgeries,” said Mr Simmonds, who admitted turnout had been slow, adding: “People will only come up and talk to you when they have got a problem.
“We are still trying to work out how best to engage with the public.”
The next street surgery in the north of the county will be held in Wellingborough town centre on Sunday, July 7, at the town’s Party in the Park, and at Kettering’s Newlands Centre on Saturday, September 21.
Mr Simmonds also said he had been pleased to have met 2,500 Northamptonshire Police staff in seminars held over the previous four weeks.
