Number of arrests made in Rushden drugs raids

Northants police have made a number of arrests after carrying out a series of drugs raids in Rushden.

Officers from East Northants safer community team carried out the drugs warrants over the past two weeks.

Following a warrant in the town, a 27-year old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. A quantity of drugs and property were seized during the search of the address.

The search of a second property resulted in a quantity of property and cash being seized.

A separate warrant in Rushden resulted in the discovery of a cannabis factory. A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and has been released on bail.
