Have your say

Officers investigating a robbery at a Rothwell building society last Monday (June 3) have made a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Police have said they have been pleased with the public response to the robbery, in which two G4S security guards were injured outside the Nationwide branch in Bridge Street.

But they are continuing to ask anyone who may have seen a new grey Audi A3, which was parked outside Tranex Telecommunications in High Street before the incident took place at about 9.10pm.

The vehicle made off from the scene along Desborough Road after the incident.

Police want to speak to anyone who might have seen the car in Fleckney Road, Kibworth, sometime after 9.10pm. It is believed the car stopped briefly in the area following the incident so the offenders could open a stolen cash box.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who may have any CCTV footage of the area and who has not yet spoken to them to do so.

Witnesses or anyone who has any information about this incident can contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
