Member of staff locked in a room at a Northamptonshire club during robbery while thief stole money

A woman was grabbed by a thief and dragged into a store room at a club in Northamptonshire.

The man, who was aged between 25 and 30, entered the Double Top Club in Overstone Road, The Mounts, Northampton, where he grabbed the female member of staff.

He dragged her into a store room, where he demanded money from the till and a safe.

He then locked the woman in the room before escaping.

He was white, between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in and had a foreign accent. He was of medium build and was clean shaven.

The robbery happened sometime between 9am and 9.45am on Friday, March 13.

Police have just released details to the media today.
