Man stabbed on Northampton Racecourse

A man was stabbed in abdomen as he walked on the Racecourse.

The 31-year-old was walking near to Kettering Road, between 8pm and 8.45pm, on Saturday, 25 June, when the incident took place.

Two men approached and assaulted him, leaving him with a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim ran off towards Abington Grove and was later taken to hospital for treatment.

The first offender was a black man, approximately 20-years-old, of slim build, around 5ft 9ins and wearing dark-coloured clothing.

The second offender was a white man, aged about 20, of slim build and around 5ft 9ins.

Officers investigating this incident would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
