A man suffered cuts to his face and neck when he was attacked by two knife-wielding robbers in Corby on Friday morning (March 7).

The incident happened at about 10.30am in Thoroughsale Woods, near Studfall Avenue, when the 45-year-old victim was approached by two men who asked him if he could change a £20 note.

When he took cash from his wallet, the pair attacked him, possibly using a Stanley knife, and stole his cash.

The victim suffered cuts to his face and neck which required treatment.

Both offenders are described as aged between 25 and 35, about 5ft 10in with athletic builds.

One was wearing a dark blue tracksuit, a dark woollen hat and a dark scarf across his face, and had an English accent.

The other was wearing a dark green top, blue jeans, a dark woollen hat and a dark scarf across his face. He spoke with an Eastern European accent.
